A traditional hostal in the heart of the village
Hostal Gran Sol is a family-run hostal in the “vila”, the old town of Llançà, a seaside village in the Alt Empordà. We have simple, well-kept double and single rooms, our own free car park and a garage for bikes.
From here you can walk to the Watercolour Museum, Sant Vicenç church and the railway station, and the harbour and beaches are about twenty minutes away on foot. It’s a good base for Cap de Creus, Sant Pere de Rodes, Cadaqués or the Dalí Museum in Figueres.
Double and single rooms
All rooms have a private bathroom. A double room, with one double bed or two singles, is €60 per night + tourist tax; a single is €49 + tourist tax. There’s heating, fans for summer and baby cots on request, and some rooms have a balcony.
For hikers, cyclists and travellers passing through
Llançà is the end of the first stage of the GR 92 Mediterranean trail, from Portbou, and the start of the stage to Cadaqués. Whether you’re on foot, on a bike or on your way to France, the basics are covered:
- Free garage for your bike
- Check-in from 12:00 and breakfast from 8:00
- Railway station about 10 minutes' walk away
- Free parking, and pets are welcome
Breakfast, yes; lunch and dinner, no
We serve breakfast at the hostal every morning from 8:00 to 10:00, €6 per person. We don’t have a restaurant, so we don’t serve lunch or dinner.
For lunch or dinner there are restaurants a few minutes away, in the old town and down at the harbour.
